Position Summary:

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up the daily complimentary breakfast ensuring that the breakfast items are well stocked, and cleaning up after breakfast. This position requires multi-tasking abilities and ability to effectively communicate with guests regarding breakfast offerings and basic hotel information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with the food offerings at the hotel
  • Interact with all guests making them feel welcome and appreciated
  • Setup the buffet per standards
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the buffet
  • Clear and clean tables when necessary
  • Empty trash containers when necessary
  • Maintain adequate supplies of food handling procedures
  • Plan and prepare for the following day per occupancy forecast
  • Breakfast setup and placement of all products and equipment is consistent each day
  • Manage large crowds and overflow situations
  • Listening and responding to guest’s requests or complaints
  • Ordering and purchasing food supplies
  • Assist Housekeeping department in guest rooms when necessary
  • Performing special projects designated by management
  • Have great personalities and are comfortable chatting and building relationships with guests
  • Are professional in business
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency
  • Are responsible and reliable at getting to work in the early hours
  • Are flexible and have what it takes to get things done
  • Are clean and organized
  • Will take responsibility for hygiene issues, stock rotation, washing of fruit/produce
  • Ensure items on buffet are well presented (hot items are kept hot & cold items are kept cold)
  • Ensures every guest, from the first to the last, receive the same high quality food selection and service
  • All other duties as assigned.
