Reports: Executive Laundry Attendant
The laundry attendant is responsible for washing, drying, and folding properly, all hotel room linen, banquet/kitchen linen, and cleaning rags in a timely manner (per times calculated by the Executive and hotel needs). He/she is responsible for pre-treating all stains and removing stained and damaged linen/terry, banquet linen from the shelves. He/she is responsible for tracking and recording damaged materials and informing Executive of any issues. The individual is responsible for helping make deliveries to guest in the evenings when the Front Desk Agent is busy or alone at the desk. He/she must also know how to clean rooms, in the event a room requires service either by guest request or to be sold after a late check-out
The laundry attendant position is a 2nd shift position with hours set by the Executive, based on hotel needs. They are responsible for making sure stained items that need to be “stain blasted” are sorted into 3 separate totes; terry, linen, and duvets/comforters. A 4th tote will be designated for items that could NOT be saved. These items will be looked at by the Executive, then written off in the discard book by the laundry attendant. Any and all discarded items that are given to employees, MUST be inspected by Executive. The individual taking the items must have a signed paper from Executive that includes the date, the items, and the employee or charity name.
