H&W Construction Excavation Division provides a wide variety of services. With over eighty years in the construction business, it has followed its founder’s motto – “No Job is Too Big or Too Small”  From a small project such as performing foundation excavation to a large site development project, H&W can handle a large bid job or work by the hour.

The relationship of the Excavation Division to the General Contracting and Crane Rental Services allows each division to operate as a separate entity while realizing opportunities to benefit from our respective strengths.

The H&W Excavation Division has built up a broad base of clients in both the private and public sectors. “We have managed to grow stronger as a function of our diversity, and our balance between public and private work has enabled that growth, ” said William Aikens. ” Our continued diversification has necessitated further client and subcontractor relationships, and we have seen an increase in repeat business as those relationships are fortified.”

H&W prides itself on the ability to be flexible to our client’s needs, allowing us to switch gears and adjust our focus quickly to consistently accommodate customer requirements.

H&W performs most of its work in the northern Shenandoah Valley Interstate 81 Corridor between Martinsburg, West Virginia and Woodstock, Virginia for a variety of clients in both the public and private arenas.
