Hotel Houseman – Hampton Inn Front Royal

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician’s primary objective is to perform general maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall repair, and painting and predictive maintenance as needed within H&W Construction on machinery, equipment, and Aikens Group facilities. He or she will provide excellent quality of service and exemplify H&W Construction’s values and pillars of success. The individual holding this position must exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, and have attention to detail when dealing with items in a timely manner. The Maintenance Engineer will need to be able to work independently and within a team atmosphere as they pertain to different jobs and projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair work on all H&W machinery and equipment as scheduled.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on all Aikens Group facilities as needed.
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on all H&W Construction equipment and Aikens Group properties.
  • Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain necessary equipment.
  • Ability to diagnosis any type of mechanical wear such as vibration, alignment, linage wear, etc.
  • Documentation of work accomplished using the H&W Construction Work Order system.
  • Analyze, respond and provide feedback on routine and emergency calls for service.
  • Complete daily route sheets and weekly reports as needed.
  • Follow all quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operation procedures.
  • Report and advise management team on the upkeep and maintenance needed for equipment.
  • Maintain company truck.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 Years’ Experience
  • Must be attentive to details.
  • Be timely in all communications and requests by ownership.
  • Must have the ability to handle pressure in meeting deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and use independent judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Must produce high-quality work that has been proofed and is error free.
