“Aikens Group” is a marketing name for a group of separately owned and operated companies. Any agreement is made solely with the specific legal entity named as the party, and no other affiliated “Aikens Group” company bears any obligation or liability under it. Where Aikens Corporation acts as managing agent for a property, it does so solely in that capacity and is not the property owner; all obligations and liabilities under such agreements rest with the property entity, not with Aikens Corporation or any other affiliated company.

The Aikens Group companies own and operate hotels, apartment communities, commercial real estate, and construction and crane rental services in the Shenandoah Valley.

This website is operated by Aikens Corporation, which acts as managing agent for the Aikens Group companies. In this policy, “Aikens Group,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Aikens Corporation and to the company responsible for the property, inquiry, or subscription involved.

What This Policy Covers

This policy covers our website, our online inquiry and sign-up forms, and the marketing communications we send.

It does not cover:

• Rental applications, resident portals, or payments submitted through our property management systems
• Hotel reservations made through Hilton, Marriott, or Choice Hotels websites, apps, or reservation centers

Information We Collect

Information you provide. Depending on the form or request, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, and other information you choose to share. The details we ask for depend on your interest:

• Apartments and residential properties: property interest, preferred move-in timing, unit preferences, and communication preferences
• Hotels: group, event, meeting, or corporate rate inquiries, including dates, number of rooms, and organization name
• Commercial real estate: business name, type of space needed, size, location preferences, and timing

We also keep records of your inquiries, our communications with you, and your marketing subscription choices.

Job applicants. When you apply for a position, we collect the information you submit, such as your contact information, resume, work history, education, references, availability, and the position you are applying for. We do not ask for your salary history. If a background check is part of the hiring process, we will give you a separate disclosure and ask for your authorization first.

Information from Facebook and Instagram forms. When you submit a Meta lead form, we receive the contact information and answers you submit. Meta may prefill certain fields using information associated with your account. We may also receive information identifying the form or advertisement connected to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our technology providers may collect your IP address, browser and device information, referring website, pages viewed, approximate location based on your IP address, and interactions with our website or advertisements. Real estate brokers and agents. For commercial real estate and property sales inquiries, we may share your contact information and stated needs with the licensed broker or agent representing the property.

Service providers. We use providers for website hosting, form processing, customer relationship management, property management, hotel sales management, recruiting and applicant tracking, email and text delivery, call handling, analytics, and related business support. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services. For example, apartment inquiries may be transferred to Entrata so our leasing team can manage and respond to them.

Analytics and advertising providers. As described above, these providers may collect or receive technical identifiers and website activity information for measurement and advertising purposes.

Legal and protective purposes. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or secure our systems.

Business transitions. Information may be disclosed or transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of a business or property, subject to applicable law.

Appeals. To appeal a decision, contact us the same way and state that you are submitting a privacy appeal. We will review the appeal and explain our decision within the time required by law. Where required, we will also tell you how to contact the appropriate regulator.

Other Websites and Services

Our website links to property application systems, resident portals, hotel reservation services, social media platforms, and other third-party websites. Those services may collect additional information and have their own privacy notices.

Hotel reservations. Our hotels operate under franchise agreements with Hilton, Marriott, and Choice Hotels. When you book a stay or join a loyalty program through a brand website, app, or reservation center, the brand’s privacy policy governs that information. Group, event, and corporate rate inquiries sent directly to our hotel sales teams are covered by this policy.

Rental applications and resident portals. Rental applications, screening, lease documents, and rent payments are handled through our property management systems and are covered by the notices provided there.

Children’s Privacy

Our inquiry and marketing forms are intended for individuals 18 and older. Job applicants must meet the minimum age requirement for the position they apply for.
